Tale of a Broken Prince

Have you heard the story of the broken prince?
The tale of love and torment since
The dawn of ages behold has come
The death of a man who once long gone.
There was a man, a prince I may
Head of the knight, handsome I say
He was the charm to all girls in the land
Though he’ll kiss only one woman’s hand.
A woman you say, yes she is
A lovely princess, a sight of bliss
In all short term, they fall in love
Two nobility like a white flying doves.
Though as glorious days have come to him
As sprung the news of the coming grim
A war declared to his prince’s might
The turn of events that would shed the light.
“I should go my love for I must lead our men”
I promise I’ll be back, I don’t know when,
Wait for me, my love wait for me”
The words of the prince as he departed thee.
Few weeks turn as plague arrives
Infecting the people few survives
But though of her title as nobility
The princess wasn’t exempted from deaths’ deity
Weeks became months and the princess got worse
Unable to run, unable to escape the curse.
“My love, my love wherever you are,
I’m sorry for this, it may leave you a scar
I love you my prince my forever knight,
Goodbye my love, for i can see the light.”
Night of the 23rd on the 8th month
Comes the victory of majesty’s realm
Here comes the broken prince
Walking in an empty street
With his heavy armor and bloodstained blade
He cast a shadow of teary shade
As he utter these words
“I came back my princess”
The last words of a dying prince.
Now this is the story of the broken prince
The tale of love and torment since
He may be broken and fate hates him
But he sure was loved and never forgotten.
